The Podlight - How Was Your Week with Julie Klausner, “Most of The Nooks”

This week The Podlight is shining on one of my all-time favorite podcasts. How Was Your Week is hosted by the hysterical Julie Klausner. She begins her weekly podcast with a re-cap of her week, which is then followed by two interviews. I almost didn’t give Julie The Podlight this week, because she said some shit that I didn’t agree with. The amount of shade she threw at the Olympics made me gnash my teeth. Look, I’m not in to sports, but I am in to seeing svelt people do crazy things with their bodies, like my man Danell Leyva. I got a little defensive, but aside from that she had me laughing in her opening interstitial. 

This week Julie interviewed Gabe Liedman and Alison Rich, two very funny people. In the interview with Alison, they talk about The Conversation which I’ve never heard of but I’m about to take to my TiVo and find what channel it’s on. Record that shit. In Julie’s interview with Gabe Liedman they talked a lot shit about Laura Linney, and I’m not here for that. I love you Julie, but you crossed the line. Laura Linney is so much better than Laura Dern. Yeah I said it, now get out of my FACE!

Okay, let’s get back to reality. In all sincerity even when I disagree with Julie, I still find her to be funny and charming. Not only does she produce an entertaining podcast, but she also writes the best Real Housewives Recaps I have ever read for Vulture. She recaps Real Housewives of New York and Beverly Hills, and honestly her recap work is on par with B-Side Blog Ben. That is high praise from me. Typically I’ll read her recaps at work, and that’s a mistake, because people stare at me while I crack up.

There are many ways to access podcasts. The easiest is via iTunes. All you have to do is go to the Podcast section of the iTunes store, download (or subscribe), and then load it up to any of your iOS devices. If you have an iPhone, iPad, or iPad Touch, you can also stream podcasts via Apple’s podcast app, which was recently updated and works great! Another app that works great and that is available on iOS and Android devices is Stitcher, which is an awesome podcast streamer.
